Assistant Professor Shaurya Prakash has been appointed a guest editor for an ASME Journal. The Journal of Nanotechnology in Engineering and Medicine is currently calling for contributions on the special issue on “Design and Fabrication of Microscale and Nanoscale Devices for Applications in Energy, Environment, and Medicine”
Upon learning on his appointment Prakash stated, “ASME is a
pioneering organization for all things Mechanical Engineering,
and when they decided to do this special issue focused on
developing design and fabrication of microtechnology and
nanotechnology for devices and systems with application to
critical modern society problems such as energy, environment, and
medicine, it was yet another example of staying at the forefront
of cutting edge technology. As ASME asked me to help guest edit
the special issue, it was indeed an honor to accept the
invitation and move the special issue forward.”
Prakash is the director of Ohio State's Microsystems and Nanosystems Laboratory, and has published over 60 peer reviewed articles and papers. He is a member of the ASME Energy-Water Nexus Interdisciplinary Council and leading organizer of nanofluidics technical topics at ASME meetings for IMECE and ICNMM.
