Financial Aid and Scholarships
How can I maximize my financial aid?
Every student is highly encouraged to file the FAFSA to be considered for the most financial aid (including scholarships, grants, loans and Federal Work-Study).
How often should I file and FAFSA? What is the priority deadline for OSU?
The FAFSA must be filed each year and Ohio State's priority deadline for filing the FAFSA is February 1. Instructions on filing the FAFSA and details about applying for University aid can be found here.
How can I apply for scholarships through the College of Engineering?
To be eligible for scholarsihps through the College of Engineering or the Deparmtent of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, students must complete the Special Scholarships Application. Details about engineering scholarships may be found here.
Are scholarships available for Study Abroad opportunities?
The College of Engineering has scholarship funds earmarked for students who participate in study abroad or international service-learning programs. Students who are participating in engineering-sponsored programs (e.g. Honduras, Ghana, Haiti Solar, India and South Africa) do not need to apply for funding. Those students will automatically be screened for possible scholarship support. Due to budget constraints these scholarships are limited to students with demonstrated financial need and range from $500 to $1,500.
