Megan Doolin, Graduate Academic Advising & Staff Assistant at the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, was awarded the Outstanding Service to Students Award at the College of Engineering’s Staff Appreciation Luncheon on April 27, 2023.

This is an individual award that recognizes staff excellence in service to students at the department or college level. Doolin was nominated by fellow graduate academic advising team member and former Outstanding Service to Students Award winner, Nick Breckenridge.

“Megan is incredibly deserving of the Outstanding Service to Students award. We generally get between 600-800 applications each year and Megan is the one person who interacts with all of them,” Breckenridge, Graduate Advising Coordinator, said. “Students have commented that she is friendly, approachable, and very accommodating with any questions they ask her. Megan is a vital member of the graduate programs and our department and I’m very proud that she was recognized for her efforts!”

Doolin was honored by the recognition.

“Receiving the Outstanding Service to a Student Staff Award means a great deal to me. It is a validation of the time, effort, and dedication I have invested in supporting and assisting students,” Doolin said. “This recognition demonstrates that my contributions have made a meaningful impact on the lives of those I have served. It inspires me to continue my commitment to providing exceptional service and to go above and beyond in helping students thrive. I am truly honored and grateful for this recognition of my efforts to support and uplift the student community.”
