The book delivers an up-to-date review of nanotechnology education with a global perspective, presents curricula and results of education research from around the world and covers postsecondary and informal education in nanoscience.

The book was inspired by the 2014 National Science Foundation workshop for Nanoscience and Engineering Education.  Since nanotechnology is a relatively new field, authors present recommendations for designing nanotechnology education programs.  Chapters describe teaching methods on specific topics such as probe microscopy, size and scale, and nanomaterial safety in classrooms around the world.
