Students Tour Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Plant

Dr. Steven J. Maheras, Lecturer in the Ohio State University Nuclear Engineering Program, took his Nuclear Fuel Cycle and Radioactive Waste Management class on a tour of the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Plant. Davis-Besse is a 908 MWe two-loop Babcock and Wilcox pressurized water reactor and is operated by FirstEnergy.  While at the plant, the students toured the spent nuclear fuel pool, the turbine building, the low-level waste storage area, dry fuel storage, and the control room simulator.
