The first edition of a book authored by Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering Shaurya Prakash and Michigan State University Assistant Professor Junghoon Yeom has been published by Elsevier. The textbook, titled Nanofluidics and Microfluidics Systems and Applications, includes chapters dealing with lab-on-a-chip systems, energy and environmental systems, and nanobiotechnology systems.

Prakash reports that portions of the book, which was released last month, are being used in the ME 6515, Introduction to Microfluidics and Nanofluidics — a course offered in the graduate-level mechanical engineering curriculum.  The book includes case studies and perspectives that illustrate commercial and laboratory applications of microfluidics and nanofluidics.
