Masha Tolstykh Nominated for Andes Award

Masha Tolstykh, senior in aerospace engineering, has been nominated by the Ohio State chapter of Sigma Gamma Tau for the Ammon S. Andes Award given annually to outstanding undergraduate students in the aerospace field.  She becomes the first OSU member to receive the chapter nomination.

Masha has been a member of Sigma Gamma Tau since 2008, serving as secretary in 2008-2009 and currently as vice president.  She chairs the SGT Department Ambassadors Committee, which is a student-organized resource for prospective OSU aerospace majors, and also serves as a tutor.  In addition, Masha has participated on the Ohio State aircraft design teams that earned third place in 2008 and honorable mention in 2009 in the annual NASA Fundamental Aeronautics University Competition.

The Ohio State chapter of Sigma Gamma Tau recognizes one of its members for exceptional service to the aerospace field by nominating this person for the annual undergraduate award coordinated by National Headquarters.
