MAE Students Receive WiE Academic and Leadership Honors

Twenty-seven mechanical and aerospace engineering (MAE) students were honored at the 33rd annual Women in Engineering (WiE) Recognition Banquet, held Thursday, February 26 in the Ohio Union's Archie M. Griffin East Ballroom. The event recognizes the achievements of women who are enrolled as undergraduate and graduate engineering students at Ohio State. This year's featured speaker was Rachel Heidenreich, Vice President of Engineering Sevices at Rockwell Automation.

PhD candidate Marie Pinti (ME), who was awarded a National Science Foundation (NSF) Graduate Research Fellowship in spring 2012, was one of two individuals to receive WiE's Distinguished Graduate Student Award.
