Posted:

Rohit Belapurkar, a Ph.D. student in the Department of Aerospace Engineering was recognized as the 'Outstanding Reviewer' by the International Journal of Systems Science, published by Taylor & Francis of UK for the year 2008. This will be announced in an Editorial prepared for Issue 7 of the journal this year. International Journal of Systems Science is a leading scientific journal in the exciting and demanding field of intelligent systems engineering and its applications.

Rohit (B.E. University of Pune, India, 2006; M.S. OSU, 2008) is a student of Dynamics and Control Research Group and is conducting research under the supervision of Professor Rama K. Yedavalli. His research focuses on stability and performance of distributed aircraft engine control system under time delays, packet dropouts and bandwidth constraints. His research interest include robust control of distributed systems, robust stability of networked control systems under communication constraints. He also won second prize in the AIAA Foundation Student Competition, Masters division at 2008 AIAA Region III Student Conference, Western Michigan University for his paper titled “Decentralized Distributed Engine Control Systems under Communication Constraints”.

Congratulations to Rohit and his advisor Dr. Yedavalli.
