Junmin Wang Appointed Associate Editor of SAE International Journal of Engines

Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering Junmin Wang was recently appointed as an Associate Editor for the SAE International Journal of Engines, which is a scholarly research journal dedicated to internal combustion engine science and engineering.  This is Wang's second journal associate editor appointment; he has served as an associate editor for IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology since 2010.

The Journal's Editorial Board consists of experts from academia, national labs, and industry. Wang is a recipient of a prestigious 2012 National Science Foundation (NSF) Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) Program award and also received a SAE Ralph R. Teetor Educational Award earlier this year. He is the director of the Vehicle Systems and Control Laboratory whose major research focus on control, modeling, estimation, and diagnosis of dynamical systems, particularly for vehicle, engine, powertrain, aftertreatment, hybrid, flexible fuel, alternative / renewable energy, transportation, and mechatronic systems.  His lab's research is funded by National Science Foundation, Department of Energy, Office of Naval Research, Honda R&D Americas, Eaton Corporation and etc.  Dr. Wang also received and the prestigious Office of Naval Research Young Investigator Award and ORAU Ralph E. Powe Junior Faculty Enhancement Award through national competitions in 2009.
