Wang Appointed Associate Editor of IEEE Journal

Junmin Wang, assistant professor in mechanical engineering, has been appointed as an associate editor of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Transactions on Vehicular Technology. "This scholarly journal consists of high-quality technical manuscripts on advances in the state-of-the-art of vehicular technology in the areas of: land, airborne and maritime mobile services; portable commercial and citizen's communications services: vehicular electrotechnology, equipment and systems of the automotive industry; traction power, signals, communications and control systems for mass transit and railroads. According to data from the Journal Citation Reports, the TVT ranks among the top journals in the field of electrical and electronics engineering."

Wang is also the director of the Vehicle Systems and Control Laboratory whose major research focus on control, modeling, estimation, and diagnosis of dynamical systems, particularly for vehicle, engine, powertrain, aftertreatment, hybrid, flexible fuel, alternative / renewable energy, transportation, and mechatronic systems.  Wang's research is funded by National Science Foundation, Department of Energy, Office of Naval Research, Honda R&D Americas, Eaton Corporation and etc.  Dr. Wang received the prestigious Office of Naval Research Young Investigator Award and ORAU Ralph E. Powe Junior Faculty Enhancement Award through national competitions in 2009.
