Grad Research Day Reels In Student Participation

Posted:

With scores of attendees and approximately 30 poster presenters, Ohio State engineering students and faculty gathered in the Dr. Michael and Anna Chen Family Conference Room in Scott Lab for the Graduate Research Day at noon on October 15 to share and showcase information about research in progress. In addition, eight graduate students presented their research in the ME 888 seminar as part of the day's activities.

Emily Sequin, an ME graduate student, poster presenter, and the event's coordinator, was particularly pleased with support and attendance, noting that Ohio State President Gordon Gee carved out time to visit with several poster presenters and learn more about their unique research efforts.  While the posters displayed were created by graduate students in mechanical, nuclear, or aeronautical and astronatical programs, the annual event was attended by many students inside and outside of the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering.

In addition to the popular poster session and presentations, eight labs were open so that students and faculty could further investigate the current research work being conducted in Scott Lab.
