Dr. Ashley Dunn Wins 2003 SAE Myers Award for Outstanding Student Paper

Congratulations to Mechanical Engineering alum, Dr. Ashley Dunn (PhD ME, August 2003), on receiving the 2003 Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) Myers Award for Outstanding Student Paper. Dr. Dunn was the lead author of the paper titled "New Model for Simulating the Dynamics of Pneumatic Heavy Truck Brakes with Integrated Anti-Lock Control." The winning paper was co-authored by Dr. Dunn's advisor Professor Dennis Guenther, as well as Professors Gary Heydinger and Giorgio Rizzoni.

The Myers Award for Outstanding Student Paper was established in honor of University of Wisconsin-Madison Professor Phil Myers who was a renowned expert on internal combustion engines. This annual award recognizes Professor Myers and his wife, Jean, for their high standards of excellence, concern for students, and involvement with SAE.
