Seminar Speaker: Dr. Daisie Boettner, a professor and former head of the department of civil and mechanical engineering at the United States Military Academy at West Point.

Abstract: The speaker will give a 30 min overview of her career and work, and the remaining 30 min will be open Q&A for interested students at all levels.

Biography: Dr. Daisie Boettner was a professor and former head of the department of civil and mechanical engineering at the United States Military Academy at West Point. She served a 36 year career in the US army as a logistician and engineering educator, and recently received the 2022 Kate Gleason Award by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers for her distinguished contributions to the engineering profession.
