Abstract

The presentation includes insights from the Fukushima accidents and the use of calculational aids to support decision making during accidents.

 

About the speaker

Bill Williamson has more than 30 years' experience in Boiling Water Owners' Group (BWROG) operations as a senior/principle reactor engineer at the Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant. Williamson is currently the chairman of the BWROG Emergency Procedures Committee and has led the committee’s updates to EPG/SAGs based on insights from the Fukushima Accidents. He is the recipient of numerous awards including the ANS Tommy Thompson Award for Nuclear Safety.
