For the third year in a row, the Department of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering is hosting Research & Design Day as an opportunity for students and faculty to experience design examples across the curriculum. Dozens of student design teams will line the halls of MAE’s Scott Lab for this open house event, eager to share examples of their work ranging from Arduino-controlled air motors to spring-loaded, basketball-shooting cannons to adaptive products that assist persons with disabilities.

Student teams will present their projects from a range of courses including sophomore-level Intro to Design, junior-level Machine Elements II, senior-level technical electives such as Product Design Engineering and Computer-Aided Design, and a range of senior Capstone projects.

This year’s event is scheduled for Friday, April 21st from 1-4 pm in Scott Lab, in the west wing of the building. This event is open to the public and all are welcome!
