ME7513/AAE7875 – Turbulent Flows (Spring Semester 2020)

The course is designed to give graduate students in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering a basic understanding of turbulent flows. The students by the end of the course should be able to understand:

i) fundamentals of turbulence
ii) details of the governing equations of turbulent flows
iii) fundamentals of some canonical flows such as free shear layers and boundary layers
iv) the current status of theoretical and computational work
v) fundamentals of turbulence signal processing and random data analysis
