Why Aeronautical & Astronautical Engineering?
The Aeronautical & Astronautical Engineering Department at The Ohio State University is one of the leading programs in the nation in aeronautics and astronautics at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
The world of Aeronautical & Astronautical Engineering is
dynamic and addresses the needs of commercial and military
systems in both the aero and space worlds. Our program partners
with established alliances such as other academic institutions,
the aerospace industry, the Air Force Research Laboratory and the
NASA Glenn Research Center. These partnerships offer our students
internship opportunities as well as potential future
employment.
Our faculty is comprised of a member of the National Academy of
Engineering as well as fellows of AIAA, IEEE and the Royal
Aeronautical Society and are supported by comprehensive
laboratories and extensive computer facilities focused on the
challenge of terrestrial and space flight.
The unique combination of a large university, distinguished
faculty and small class sizes allows the Department of Mechanical
and Aerospace Engineering at The Ohio State University to foster
an atmosphere of ingenuity and independence.
