Nathan Kidder, an aerospace engineering graduate student, has been named to the 2014 Aviation Week Twenty20s list. Through its Twenty20 recognition program, Aviation Week and co-sponsor Raytheon seek to identify students who maintain an excellent scholastic record and who are making a difference, through the projects and research they undertake. More than 90 students had been nominated for the honor.

Across the past three years Kidder, who is advised by Associate Professor James Gregory, has participated in research and development projects with the Air Force Research Laboratory, mostly pertaining to the operation of miniature aircraft. He is presently conducting a study on plasma-enhanced aerodynamics for load control. Upon award notification, Kidder said, "I am very honored to have been selected from a pool of outstanding talent and consider it a great privilege to represent The Ohio State University among other premiere institutions of engineering education."

Kidder and the other 19 individuals to be recognized in the class of 2014 Twenty20s, will be honored at Aerospace & Defense Programs Conference and during the Aviation Week Program Banquet on Nov. 19 in Litchfield, AZ.
