The Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Ohio State has established the Alumni Recognition Program to recognize outstanding graduates in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Nuclear Engineering and Engineering Mechanics.  These awards are granted for professional achievement, service, and entrepreneurship and are given annually or as deemed appropriate by the Alumni Recognition Committee. 

The Professional Achievement Awards are presented to alumni who have distinguished themselves in their chosen professions. This might include, but is not limited to, significant achievements in research, engineering practice, managerial or administrative leadership, and teaching.

The Service Awards are presented to alumni who have distinguished themselves in service to community, the University or society. 

The Entrepreneurship Awards are presented to graduates in recognition of their inventiveness in developing and/or commercializing a new product, process, or service.
